Avantex have been providing barcodes to the Australia market since 2002.

Utilising Zebra Thermal printers has enabled Avantex to provide barcodes that will outlive most cables, and are strong enough to deal with the tough conditions of Data Centres (as an example, hot isles, back of racks etc) and remain 100% accurate when scanning.

Avantex are able to print 1D (dimensional) or 2D barcodes, QR, Code-128, EAN, Data Matrix and a whole range of others to suit your needs.

Whether you are after a simple barcode for your patch cords, or a specific barcode for your assets that must contain your own logo, Avantex are able to supply.

Is there a minimum order?

yes, 100 is our minimum order for standard labels.

Are their discounts available?

Yes!

Avantex provides discounts for quantities over 1,000 barcodes.

What about the longevity of the barcode that you supply?

We have been providing barcodes for many years to the IT industry.

Many of the labels we supplied over 10 years ago are still in a production environment, with some of them spending many years at the back of a very hot rack.

We have only ever supplied two manufacturers barcodes, so we are very good data of what has worked over the longer term for our clients.

What barcode ‘format’ should I be using?

It really depends on your applications/what you are trying to achieve.

In our experience, code 128 is the best for cables and the datamatrix 2d barcode for assets and equipment.

We are also able to print many other standards with our printers, so it really depends on what equipment you are going to be scanning the barcodes with.

What about barcodes for conduits or outside plants

Avantex can also supply metal laser etched barcodes to suit outside plants.

We also have laser etched barcodes to suit conduits, or trays within Data Centres etc.

Do you sell barcode scanners?

Yes, we provide the Zebra (previously Motorola) range of barcode scanners.

There are many models available, so call us for a quote.
